Academic & Career Journey of Safala Mishra
From a Young Teacher in Nepal to a Global Educator and Healthcare Innovator
Safala Mishra’s journey is rooted in a lifelong passion for learning, teaching, and serving others. Raised in a family deeply connected to education, she discovered her love for teaching at just 13 years old. Surrounded by inspiring educators, she naturally embraced mentorship, curiosity, and a desire to help others grow into their full potential. When Safala Mishra moved to the United States, she carried with her not only professional experience but a profound impact on the lives of her students. Shortly after her relocation, many of them reached out, expressing how deeply they missed her mentorship, her clarity in teaching, and the confidence she had helped them build. Their messages were not simply about missing a teacher—they reflected the lasting influence of guidance that shaped their thinking, discipline, and ambition. It reminded her that true education leaves an imprint far beyond the classroom.
Safala firmly believes that education is the most essential foundation of human life. To her, it is not limited to textbooks, exams, or degrees—it is the cornerstone of mindset, character, and purpose. She believes that true civilization is not measured by infrastructure, wealth, or buildings, but by the quality of thought and values held by its people. Civilization is built through education that nurtures ethical understanding, critical thinking, responsibility, and vision. It is this kind of education that shapes a true civilized citizen—one who thinks with integrity, acts with awareness, and contributes meaningfully to society.
Moved by her students’ continued trust and driven by this deep conviction, Safala founded MAI AIM Academy—an online global school designed to transcend borders and deliver purposeful, structured, and transformative learning. MAI AIM was not created merely as an institution, but as a mission: to cultivate strong minds, build principled individuals, and empower students around the world to grow into confident, capable, and truly civilized global citizens.
Safala began her professional path as a teacher in Nepal, where she created engaging, student-centered classrooms and introduced technology to enrich learning experiences. She taught learners of various ages and developed personalized teaching strategies that supported individual growth. Her experience guiding students preparing for nursing entrance exams sparked a deeper interest in healthcare—an interest that would later shape her career in meaningful ways.
